Moto Gp – Rossi, Pedrosa, Stoner -the Speed Masters in Action

Last weekend the sixth race of the Moto GP World Championship took place at the French Speedway – Le Mans Bugatti Circuit – which has been active since 1967. Amongst some of the manufacturers that currently participate in the 60th Edition of the Tournament are: Yamaha, Honda, Ducati, Suzuki, and Kawasaki.

Additionally, the top five riders who presently lead the scoreboard are: in first place Valentino Rossi from Italy with 97 points, the Spaniards Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo both with 94 points – second and third place respectively, Casey Stoner from Australia with 56 points and in fifth place the American Colin Edwards with a total of 47 points.

Last Sunday the Italian Valentino Rossi who rides for Yamaha accomplished a double win by becoming the French champion after his previous win in China; this triumph is his 90th win fact that moved him to the first position in the overall standings besides tying his record to that of the well-known Angel Nieto.

“To tie Nieto is like a dream,” said Rossi, who also won the Shanghai GP two weeks ago. “I didn’t expect to be so fast, but we made some modifications after the warm-up and the bike worked well. “I haven’t won two races in a row since 2006. That means we are back in business.”

Rossi’s latest win is certainly an incredible achievement as his counterpart the Australian champion Stoner was pursing the lead but unfortunately for Stoner he had to retire during the 20th lap as his machine had a mechanical malfunction. Situation which benefit Pedrosa who pushed his Honda but both Rossi and Lorenzo moved ahead as Rossi won the first place and the Spaniard who also rides for Yamaha came in second showing an amazing display of cleverness and speed skills.

Many believe this definitely means business for the Italian as this is the first time Rossi is at the top of the standings since his win at the Spanish speedway in Jerez back in 2007. Rossi who is a seven-time world champion recorded 44 minutes and 30.79 seconds. A very positive situation for the Yahama manufacturer as well as they lead now with a total of 115 points gathered from two second places in Qatar and Spain followed by three consecutive wins in Portugal, China and France. On the other hand, the Japanese manufacturer Honda counts with 94 points and the Italian Ducati in third place with 61 points.

The speed knights will meet once again next June 1st at the Italian Mugello Circuit for another round of the best Moto GP speed racing. This particular circuit has been Rossi’s domain since 2002 when he first won the race & has repeated it for the past six seasons. Rossi’s experience include three Wold Championships in 125cc – 1997, 250cc – 1999 and 500cc – 2001 and MotoGP – 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005.

Free Sports Picks

Many handicapping sites offer free sports picks or newsletter service options to their visitors who show interest in their services but don’t want to commit to the handicapper on the first meet. Professional handicapping services are plainly overflowing with useful betting knowledge which could be given away to people for free. This is a very positive aspect of handicapping services as free knowledge shows that the handicapper has adequate knowledge regarding the business and also, their business’s USP lies much more beneath the knowledge. This in-depth knowledge and statistics could not be availed from anywhere except professional handicappers. Also, there are many self proclaimed ‘gurus’ and ‘masters’ in the betting business who are really scammers. This is why a visitor should always check a handicapper’s track record and market reputation before selecting them.
Another thing which a bettor can do is to check whether the handicapper’s sports picks have been listed by professional sports monitoring services. This is a great indication of how various handicappers feel regarding their own sports picks. If a visitor has any difficulty in checking them, then the handicapper might not be worth the risk. The customer is paying for valuable betting information and he/she should make sure that their money is well spent. Also, a customer should also avoid any website or handicappers who are offering ridiculous claims for getting successful and even display incorrect examples and records. It can be easily judged by the percentage they are advertising. Handicappers with success rate around 55 to 60 percent are reasonable, particularly when they are advertising for NFL and other football games.
If a website or handicapper says that they get amid seventy to eighty percent of correct sports picks, then they should be susceptible as even the best analysts who have earlier played the game and have links with the best coaches and players could not promise such large a percentage. What has been outlined in the above mentioned lines is just a glimpse as to what can (and goes) behind the scenes in the sports betting and handicapping services. The elements of trust aren’t held by all the handicappers, so a customer has to always be aware regarding what the services are offering and what could he/she get.
Many professional handicapping websites offer free sports picks daily. A visitor should always check whether these sports picks are premium play or second rate predictions. Premium play requires hours of hard work analyzing statistics and market trend whereas second rate predictions could be made by any bettor. Also, the time on which the website offers its picks is very valuable as anyone can offer picks at the end of the game, but getting picks at the start of the game or with few minutes down is reasonable.

MiG Flights are the only way to go supersonic today

Flying supersonic jet was never cheap. The Concorde jet was costly to run and maintain that led to high ticket prices. MiG jet flights in Russian MiG jets are even more expensive. A MiG 29 flight costs more than USD 15000 for the MiG flight only. And the cost to travel to Russia is not included in that basic price for Russian MiG flights. Advanced MiG flights like stratospheric Edge of Space flights cost even more for the MiG flight only.

Aviation freaks go crazy for this MiG flights, and many expect that this MiG jet flights will be over soon because the political situation has changed much in Russia. Rising nationalism and xenophobia surely do not help business bringing foreigners to Russian airbases for MiG flights. It might help that the financial situation for the Russian state worsened after falling oil and gas prices during the crisis in 2008/2009. It even seems that gaz prices might remain low thanks to shale gaz and LNG, which hits the state-owned Russian gaz monopolist, Gazprom, quite hard.
Bad for the government and the Russian people, but foreigners, military tourists and especially military tourists booking Russian MiG flights might profit from this situation. Firstly Russia is cash-hungry and not exporting many MiG jet aircrafts these days, secondly falling oil prices might cap the cost for MiG flights. The cost for MiG jet flights have been raising steadily in the years before. A MiG 29 flight was available for less than USD 8000 some years ago, rising salaries and especially rising oil prices boosted the costs for MiG flights.

So hopefully we have reached a top for Russian MiG flights. If MiG flights stay available and more or less affordable, they are the last remaining chance for a supersonic jet flight. If Russian MiG 29 flights are stopped, going supersonic will even become much more expensive: Suborbital space vehicles reaching supersonic speed, like the Virgin Galactic space project or the Xcor Lynx project will cost between USD 100000 and USD 250000.
